Located at the bank of Chenab River, Multan is the 5th most populous city of Pakistan. City is also call City of Saints because there are many shrines of Sufi saints in the city. It is an historical city with history can be traced back to 6000 years back, when the city was known as Maloha.
City is the most prominent in South Punjab, and could be future capital, if a new province is created. Bahauddin Zakariya University and Nishtar Medical college are the prominent educational institutions in the city.
