Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) formerly known as North-West Frontier (NWFP), is one of the province of Pakistan, located in the northwestern region of the country.
It is also the site of the ancient kingdom Gandhara, the ruins of its capital, Pushkalavati, (today Charsadda), and the most prominent center of learning in the Peshawar Valley, Takht-i-Bahi.
Its snow-capped mountain peaks and lush green valleys of unusual beauty have enormous potential for tourism. There are quite famous national parks in the province like Ayubia National Park, Chitral Gol National Park, Broghil Valley National Park, Sheikh Buddin National Park, Saiful Muluk National Park and Lulusar-Dudipatsar National Park.
